Losing to Sunderland doesn't seem so bad now they've beaten Chelsea and losing to Brentford doesn't seem so bad now they've beaten Liverpool

  • What still seems bad though is how useless we were against them.
  • You have to give Sunderland credit, a newly promoted team managed to attract 15 players, (only one of them a household name and none of them for silly money) mold them into a team and have outperformed everyone’s expectations.

Their away win against us was pretty comprehensive and against Chelsea was not against the run of play despite going a goal down in the opening minutes.

    H’way the lads

Look, I'm not one for talking Liverpool's side. But what on earth is the ref thinking of when he stops the game because a Villa player is injured, and is off the pitch. Being attended by medics....

A couple of villa players standing of the pitch with him.

Guys, get on with the game!

    Such a weak ref.

    That's shocking.

    For Villa.

Yet in the Spurs Chelsea game a Chelsea player had a blood injury, late on, and the ref walked him off the pitch and carried on. 🤷‍♂️
  • Spurs haven't won at home since the opening weekend, let's hope Man Utd can continue that streak

Everton v Fulham the only other 3pm kick off, Sunderland v Arsenal 5:30pm and Chelsea v Wolves 8pm

Wolves caretaker manager is U21 coach James Collins

    No, not that one
  • Arsenal were oh so close to a huge win at Sunderland.... With Liverpool and City playing each other tomorrow it would have been a gain on at least one of them if not both. Arsenal will know they will have injuries or lose form at some point so if they really want to win it this year they need to build as much of a lead as possible whilst Liverpool are out of for ( for them).
  • It was a dramatic finish!

Arsenal though already have lost of players currently injured who will be coming back.
(Havertz, Madueke, Jesus, Gyokeres, Martinelli AND Odegaard - some list!)
  • Onana just scored an almost identical goal to Paquetà's last week.
  • Doku's goal just now is a rather lovely thing as well.
  • Liverpool getting absolutely mullered by City. Their only consolation is their next away game is against us
  • City fans singing sacked in the morning 😂
  • Money well spent on Isak if you don’t even bring him on when you’re getting outplayed.

My thought exactly when the commentator said they’d lost four away games on the spin.
I think it’s called collective black humour.
  • Let’s make it five!
  • It’s a possibility albeit a long shot but we do have a few players who can cause them problems. Trouble is we have more players who can cause US problems.
  • I think that Paq is suspended for our next match so it will be really interesting to see how we do without him, I am fairly upbeat about the prospect
  • I would give Fernandes his role to allow him a more forward facing position as I think he could bring something. I hope Potts is back for the next match as I have been so impressed with him.
  • Our ladies had their first win of the season today, a 3-1 home victory over Everton which has moved them off the bottom.
  • Some difficult games for the teams at the bottom of the table, Burnley v Chelsea is the lunchtime kick off then Liverpool v Forest and Wolves v Palace at 3pm
  • Forest ahead at Scouse land
  • Annoying that Forest are winning
  • Scouse two down now
  • 3-0
    Lol

    Lol

But it's not their fault =)
  • Don’t laugh too loud, we’ve got Liverpool next week.
  • I’m sure they’ll find their form then
  • Nuno has probably already got Bowen working as a fourth centre back as we speak!
  • Huge opportunity for Arsenal tomorrow with both Liverpool and City losing, Should be a good Derby tomorrow, which hopefully Spurs will lose badly.
