If you're looking for something to do in the international break, I've just discovered Immaculate Footy this week. It's a 3x3 grid, and you have to guess a player that fits into the vertical and horizontal categories outlined. It's a bit like sudoku for football.

There's an English football version and world football version, and they each release a new grid daily. There are also hundreds of grids in the archive if you get addicted.

If you want something else to pass the time... This is a 20 x 20 grid of all Premier League teams last season. You have to name a player that has played for both teams in the Premier League. I got most in a day, but I've been coming back every couple of weeks to try and get more. I'm stuck on 146/180 at the moment.

Also, the Football Cliché's podcast (which is excellent, btw) has a daily games website now. The main two at the moment are "Out of Control" where you get a series of one second long gifs randomly taken from a Premier League Years episode, and you have to work out the season. And the other is "Happy Hunting Grounds" where you get a team and a stadium, and you need to name a player who scored away for the team at the stadium. It's hard!

I'll be mostly going to watch Brentwood Town.
Should get 4 games in between now and the 10th October including, replay permitting, Dagenham & Redbridge at home in the 3rd Qualifying Round of the FA Cup. I wonder if Andy Carroll will be playing?

Considering that Fulham are keeping Spuds company at the bottom of the EPL on just 2 points each, how significant was our defeat to them at home the other week in terms of the quality of players on display for both sides.
