I did win, a grandfather clock circa 1760-1770.

It was catalogued as 19th century, but as the maker died approximately 1788 it has to be 18th century. I think that it was a steal at the price

We have one in the dining room, and now have this one for the lounge

Well done, We didn't have a 'lot' to talk about. I am interested to see how fine the workmanship is on the outside and how basic utility it is inside

Luckily only one needed the help of a clock repairer, but the other two work perfectly.

The first purchase, was in 2019 is circa 1810


The second, which we bought in December last year, circa 1800, was our Christmas present to Junior and her husband who was fascinated by our one.

In amongst Clock Chat, I think I've counted 3 for Bowen, 2 for Soucek and 1 each for Todibo and Emerson, so far.
