Remember, this IS NOT a prediction game. This is simply saying, from this batch of fixtures, what is the cut off point between good and bad. You could go one further and say what is the cut off between good, decent and bad if you want to, but basically you need to say the minimum number of points that think is acceptable after this run of games.

I think I'm also 14. I think this is a pretty gentle set of fixtures, and there are at least 5 games that I look at in that set and think we have a very good chance of winning BUT these threads are about what we think the acceptable level is, and - for me - anything less than 14 would be really disappointing.

Well, from the corresponding 7 fixtures (Burnley being a promoted side) we got 15 points last season, Spurs and Palace bring the only games we lost. It seems that in an awful domestic season our good results have all been packed into one run of 8 games.
I'd think 13 points would be a good return. Any more than 16 would be excellent.

I’m 18 as welll. All four home games winnable and away to burnley and Brentford. Only games we justifiably drop points are Villa and spurs away.

18 points from 8 games is top four - potentially title-winning - form. I appreciate it's a pretty kind run of fixtures but that's a lot of points.

I’m seeing a lot of multiple numbers from people, which is odd considering the only question asked is “what’s the minimum number of points you would find acceptable from these fixtures”

I wasn’t aware that for the first 8 games we are top of the league in that during the first halves of these games we had amassed 18 points, more than anyone else. We had a net loss of 4 points in the 8 second halves.

That's interesting, thorn, as the perception I remember seeing a lot previously was that we were slow starters

I was surprised to learn we've taken the lead in 7 of our 8 games. So we seem to have a whole new problem this season.

Liverpool has been the only game we’ve conceded first. If only we could hold onto the leads but it’s still only Liverpool and City who’ve beaten us.
