He's a very old school likeable player. I know he's going but I'll thank him for his effort and performances. To get a fee for him is cherry on top
He's been a great professional for us; not the most technically gifted of players, but always gave his all and put his body on the line every week for us. Not for the way he played particularly, but more his attitude, reminds me of James Collins.
And, as has been said, £3.3m would be very good business if we've got someone else lined up to come in.

A genuine honest player. Always gets a from me I'm a bit disappointed that he wants to leave... He signed to play for a London club. What's changed? He wants to be not in London?
Dawson is unhappy with spending so much time away from his family, his transfer was cancelled in the summer because Aguerd got injured and now Aguerd is fit Moyes is doing what is best for Dawson
Dawson to Wolves is an interesting one to me. It can’t be the manager driving transfer interest if two different managers have tried to sign him in consecutive windows. But it can’t be the board signing him, because he’s not Portuguese… it just doesn’t add up
Sorry to see Dawson go but it seems it’s for the right reasons.I think he’s been brilliant for us and has got to be one of, if not the best signing of recent years. I wish him well.

Why couldn't two different managers want him?
I guess they could, it just seems coincidental to me.
According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, we've had a bid for Roma's Nicolo Zaniolo turned down. It was an offer of a loan with an obligation to buy in the summer for £26m, but one of our conditions was reported to be that we could remove the obligation and send him back to Roma.
I mean, that's pretty ambitious, even for us 😄
One assumes our obligation was on the condition of staying up, but there's no real incentive for Roma to accept that, is there.
A couple of proper full-backs & our squad is very good.
The squad is good, it's just the team selection and tactics that aren't. Eric Morecambe "I'm playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order"

LB is definitely still a big weakness imo, Cresswell is a liability defensively as many of us said in the summer, and he offers less and less offensively. Emerson was brought in, but Moyes only seems to see him as a LWB, so a genuine, starting, LB is still right at the top of my wish list.
Just some Twitter chit chat, but there are reports that Nice, who are after our reported striker target Terem Moffi, have now agreed a deal to sign our earlier reported striker target En-Nesyri, who turned us down because he wanted to help Sevilla out of their precarious league situation, but who has allegedly agreed the move to Nice.
Could of course be complete bunkum, but it may mean we still have a chance of convincing Moffi to sign.
He can. As can Cresswell. As can Rice. But I'd rather have a specialist CB. I know that versatility is important in the modern game, but in our predicament I'd rather not have to rely on players playing out of position.
Sounds like the Moffi deal is still being discussed too. If we manage to bring both in (I doubt we will), I wonder whether Scamacca will be off in the summer. Has never really looked happy on the pitch (maybe he just has one of those faces), but I have a feeling he'll be gone before the start of next season, whichever league we're in.
I said this the other day. Pretty sure I've seen Jay say something similar, too. Something just doesn't feel right about Scamacca. Never really felt like a Moyes signing as he made such a big deal about finding someone who can do what Antonio does, and then we sign someone who is more Haller than Antonio.
I think maybe the problem lies with Scamaca and Packitintah is that they’ve not played together that much. I seem to remember that they looked like they were starting to get a good understanding at one point. If we can manage to keep them both fit there’s definitely a partnership of sorts there.

Until Paqueta got injured. But I think Moyes made a mistake here playing Downes as the advanced midfielder because Scamacca was suddenly isolated and lost his momentum.

that didnt take long hahaha
The flipside is that its enjoyable to see Spurs concede 2 quickly
Is Ings done yet???
Figured I'd at least say something relevant for this thread

If Moyes is staying, and sticks to a back three, do we need a replacement? Only had Kehrer on the bench yesterday as a CB option.
All the best to him, seems he wanted to go for personal reasons.
Scamacca and Moyes have fallen out. Scamacca not injured but in Naples angling for a transfer.
Daws has gone. 😢
Time will tell I guess.
