    I was baffled. Just couldn't work it out after line 4, for AGES. Doh.

    That is surprising, as after line 4 you obviously had 4 letters in their correct places, and so just trial and error should have given you the third letter pretty quickly.
    I know! Hence my doh. ( 'ages' may have been a bit of an exaggeration ;-) but I'd have expected to ' see' it straight away) Tbf, it was gone midnight and I was quite tired.
    Btw, was it a deliberate strategy to not use one of the correct letters from your first guess, or just an oversight as I did a couple of times recently (and you did say it was late and you were tired)?

    Buffy - yes, I did it on purpose. Depending on what results I get from the first guess, I have a second word I use to test out some other vowel combinations.

    Ah, ok, I always try to make a valid guess based on the information from the previous guess (unless I'm too drunk or hungover to know what I'm doing 🤔🤔🤔😂🤣😂).
