I think you’re forgetting how good Zab was in his pomp, tbh. But yeah, he reminds me of him too.

I thought that at first, but when you see how fortunate Foden’s touch was off the knee, and how Fab had read it and shifted his weight to his left, then consider the speed at with he got it out from his feet to shoot, I don’t think there was much he could do about it

Anyone else confused by the pronunciation of his name? I've heard it as both Koufal and Soufal from commentators, so I found this and seems that it's pronounced Tsoufal.

Got such a Pearce / Repka vibe about him.

He's been a superb signing, decent defensively and offensively, and his consistancy is outstanding. Completely taken the role as his and become a key part of our first 11 so quickly.

Really deserved the improved contract. I hope he stays fit and gets better and better.

I also think the competition has improved Fredericks as a player - been really good in his cameo appearances this season, a shame he picked up an injury the other day.

As a player I feel he has the intelligence and toughness to defend but also the finesse to retain possession and move us forward. That's a pretty rare combination in my experience. Especially in one of our players!

I like Coufal as a defender but his crosses into the box really do need to improve.

Yes he rarely whips the ball in but rather lifts it in which means its too slow and predictable in its flight and so easy to defend. This 10% of his game aside however the rest is top notch and he must represent the best value buy for some time at the club at what I seem to recall was 5m, that would barely get you a promising youth player or a seasoned yet limited squad player, we got a cross between Zabaletta and Julian Dicks and a Czech international!

I think Coufals crossing is fine he tends to try and pick players out rather than fizzing it. I am pretty sure he got quite a few assists last season.
