Knowing G&S, they probably told Moyes not to make us safe until the last game to save a bit of interest on the £18.9m.

I think we have missed a player like him in our team for a long while. Somebody of that sort of height with that power & ability in the air. Great signing & very rare we sign an unknown midfielder who turns out to be that influential.

Feel like Kouyate was that type of player, and we really missed him (although I felt like it was his time to move on when he did)

Losing Kouyate and Obiang in quick succession without bringing in adequate reinforcements left us very weak in midfield

I reckon £21m includes loan fee, wages and lump sum. it was reported at c.£13m at the time of the loan as I recollect.

Still, worth every penny at this time.

Interesting. I'm sure the price wasn't included when the article was originally posted. They don't usually declare the cost of a transfer, particularly in a headline. And why display it in Euros? (rhetorical question; I suspect I know the answer).

So it looks like the club are trying to counter the negative feedback from the reports that we have no money to spend.

OCS - I found it interesting as it has always tended to be ‘undisclosed’. The article was originally posted without the figure, so is a definite intentional edit.

So I do think that they want us to know that he did cost that much (when reports did say £13m)

I agree with IH though, think the figure is the entire deal loan fee and 6months wages etc, but fans will just see £13mil if we put undisclosed

I see his boyhood team that play in the 4th tier get 10% of the fee. Incredible for them.
