  • Still no Boxing Day home game?

April is awful but December is fine, no worries you have to play everyone twice at some point so no need getting in a fluster

Don't think playing Liverpool away first up is too bad. Shock results are often at their most likely during the opening weeks & they will be playing catch up with their returning World Cup players. They might not be as sharp as they could be.

Still a tough opening 7. Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea & Man Utd to play, with Everton away too.
  • Liverpool have only won 6 of the last 15 opening day fixtures so not a bad time to play them
  • For balance....
I checked, they have not played us on the opening day in the last 15 seasons so, they have had relatively difficult games.
  • Really need a 'made me laugh, but in a sad way' button.
  • Not sure it matters, we have to play every one twice. Not sure there is a good or a bad time to play the really really good teams.

Or when those good or bad times might occur during a season!! I bags we wait on this one until Salah is injured again

    I said this last year
  • We are never going to have a Boxing Day home fixture, not with the Westfield Boxing Day sales and the crowds that draws in.

    Were have you been BBB?

This has been discussed over and over, the Boxing Day sales and football crowds would be far to big for police and London Transport to cope with.

Don’t understand what you mean by “the sort of games we need to win”. Surely we need to be winning all matches, otherwise what’s the point?

As in, we are going to be looking to win the title, therefore we need to be beating the other title contenders.

Got you yes we do need to win all or most to win the league lol, pipe dream but believe in our new manager that we be fine this year

As many have already posted, those first fixtures in August and September look difficult. However, get through those with ten points and we could be set for a decent season.
  • At 600/1 for West Ham to win the league.....it’s got to be worth a tenner, even just to spice up the first two games...... ;wink
  • Leicester started at 5000/1 the year they won it - bookies have learned their lesson.

    Odds seem mean, to me.
