Sorry Bubbles I don't get why MunichNuremburg would be any worse than any other combination other than that is not fair on all of those people who now live in the cities to beat them with a rather old stick. Yes, terrible things happened there but that is now more than 70 years in the past. A lot of war crimes were committed on both sides, although I certainly don't want to start an argument about who was worse.
Could I take this opportunity to remind everyone that I won't be answering my front door this evening. I don't do Halloween, so you can all go whistle for your sweeties.
All 20 Premier League clubs have been asked for a £250,000 contribution so that the league's outgoing executive chairman Richard Scudamore can be given a £5m farewell gift.
This is a disgrace and each club should refuse. At least Fifa attempted to hide it's bungs!
The guy was employed to do his job and was paid well, where does the idea of asking the clubs for a gesture of appreciation come from? highly misjudged on many counts.
If some clubs were to agree and others refuse could in the future they claim favouritism?
There is the stat about how the TV rights have increased whilst he was doing his job. Does this mean if a manager asks for a payment from a players agent, a contribution, for the value he has added to him during his coaching, that this is now ok? it's a payment of appreciation.
Why does he need 5m? they used to get a gold watch!
Imagine what that 250k would add to community facilities in the locality of each club, yet our own football association thinks he needs an extra 5m as a show of appreciation.
