Never quite understood the Palace vs Brighton rivalry- most others tend to be fairly logical
Think it's simply because they are pretty close in the fact you can get on a southern railway train and be at each other's grounds in about 30 mins. Brighton probably had no one else near them so adopted palace to hate.
