The whole competition has been shown live here & I've seen all
    Of the England matches...
Tbh they have played really well & a few stars for the future Phil Foden and Brewster are well impressive.
Up against Spain in the final, and lastly a shout out to the hosts, what a credit to India..massive crowds for every game ;whome ;scarveng
  • And that " whome"
    Was meant 2 b a clap ;doh
  • I know it's 'only' the youth teams and they need to make the step up but with all that success this year (is it 5 final games so far or is it even more?) We should be looking at a great national team in a few years's time. Teams that actually have won something.
  • U17 - World Cup Final (maybe champions)
    U19 - European Champions
    U20 - World Cup Champions
    U21 - European Semi Finalists
  • U17 Euros - beaten finallists
    U21 - Toulon Tournament Champions
  • Live on BBC today
  • 3-2 up ;scarveng
  • now 5-2 up ;scarveng
  • Yipppeeeee ;champagne
  • Two cup in one year.... wow..

    St. George’s doing the business....
  • 5-2 after 2-mil down
    ;weep
  • Fantastic tournament. Let’s hope some of these lads move on up and help England in the future. Such a shame that they rarely do. ;scarveng
  • Did any of our players make this England squad?
  • No and to think we used to have a really good academy.

Fortuneseeker, when, and for how long? And how are you defining 'really good'? Because it seems as though your conclusion that it's not 'really good' now is based on us not having any players in the England U17 squad. ;hmm

And on a related point, our Academy might not have had players in that squad, but of our English players who have been involved in other successful squads recently (see yeold + Munich, above)

Nathan Trott was in the U19s squad who won the European Champs,
Dan Kemp played in the team that won the Toulon Tournament
The U20 WC, Reece Oxford was part of the squad that qualified.

I haven't checked out other nationalities yet.

    Sorry Grey,

Point taken posted whilst still feeling down after the Palace result. ;ok

Oxford came on as a late sub - 89 minutes.
