  • Sources reporting Pellegrini could be the 3rd highest earning manager in the league

Hope this doesn't affect the money for new players..............
  • Ceefax still works, who would have thunked

Gary Rowett in at Stoke. Because he has experience of ... erm..... not being relegated from the Championship?
  • And no experience of hoof ball. They may actually play some football now.
  • ;nonono

But didn't Sparky Marky have them playing sexy football?
  • I must of missed that..... ;biggrin
  • No Mrs. Grey, he tried playing saxy football but couldn't get a tune out of them.

How can people have forgotten Sparky's Stokealona? ;nonono
  • It really bugs me that Sparky will still be in the league next year...

But on the bright side it will give Arnie the chance to continue his vendetta...
  • Hughes has just signed on for 3 more years at Southampton.

Will he last a season? ;hmm
  • Bit surprised they offered him it longer term.

2-1 and 1-0 wins against Bournemouth and Swansea seemed to convince the owners he was worth it.

Not sure he’s the right appointment.
  • I'm very happy with Sparky at Southampton, that's 6pts guaranteed
  • Hughes must have an incredibly good agent to get himself that kind of deal
  • Well he did get Southampton out of a abyss lol
  • Emery to the Gooners!
Ooh, you are awful, but I like you.

    Is that
  • Yes it is honky tonk. How are you. ;wave
  • Hughes must have an incredibly good agent to get himself that kind of deal

No barracks.......Southampton are mugs.....sit back and enjoy the fireworks ;lol

Of their own making Cuz1....... ;lol ;lol ;lol
  • Let’s hope he gets them back in it next season

I remember after he almost took QPR down he said something like 'We'll never be in this position again while I'm here.'

He was kind of right, as they were in a worse position when he was finally sacked.
  • Lampard confirmed as the new Derby manager on a three year contract
  • Oooo now that is an interesting appointment.

Reaching the Era now for me, where a lot of players I saw as a youngster are now turning into managers. ;hmm

Is this a sign that I am getting old ? :(

Reaching the era where the sons of players I saw as a youngster are now turning into managers.

    But then, I am old.

Seems a bit of a 'high profile' job for someone who was only recently a pundit. Suppose that's what happens when you had a high profile career.

Just heard Harry Redknapp on the radio & by the sounds of it he had a word with the people at Derby & told them he was worth the punt.

    Could easily be another GNev.
  • Although, if 'Arry shook my hand, I'd count my fingers after.
  • 'Fraid so.

    But you're not alone.

But if it makes you feel any better, I suspect a few of our fellow forum-ers will remember Redknapp's transition from player to manager...
  • i am old ;weep
  • I feel old
  • I think Lampard comes across as very articulate on TV.

He was known as being a very hard-worker in training to improve himself..

Both I think speak well of his chances to do well.
