'Persuaded' is the Mail's spin. I don't think he intended to suggest that, or that Manu 'convinced' him.
He says:
He (Manu) told me really good words about everyone at the club, that he was enjoying himself as a West Ham player and enjoying life in London, so it was good for me to have that information to help me make my final decision.
Obviously if we play 4 at the back, we can slot him in at RB.
If we were to play 3 at the back, I wonder if we could use him as a RCB with Reid and Oggy given he is a very experienced defender, but won't have the mobility for RWB, which can go to Byram or Antonio.
Otherwise, if Slav does decide on 3 at the back, there won't be a place for him in the XI, and I'm sure he's not signing to sit on the bench.
