The arithmetic is simple. We need two wins and a draw more than Forest and Leeds get in the remaining games, and three wins and a draw more than Palace and Spurs get, Unfortunately our goal difference may be the reason we go down.
With Taty and Pablo plus Traore and Wilson as backup we will give any team problems and a good chance of scoring. It’s when it gets into our half and if the midfield don’t stop an attack a goal looks like coming. For some reason our defenders don’t seem to be aware of what or who is happening around them as the majority of goals we’ve conceded have been by someone completely unmarked.
That will still only get us 38 so win 5 and draw 2 or win 4 and draw 5 would do it. The first would have us losing 6 which is possible and the second have us losing only 4 which is less likely. We all thought 42 was enough in 2003 so I hope 40 is more than enough if we get them.

If current form (last six matches) continues to the end of the season we would end up on 42-43 points, in 17th place. The reason this is in positive vibes is because Spurs would be 18th with 35-36 points.
Obviously current form is very unlikely to last for another 13 games each, but it's still a bit of fun.
On the Spurs forum yesterday one poster fearing their relegation pointed out we have Premier League winning form at present and felt their best chance of escape was to finish ahead of Palace.
Apparently he is barred from their positive arms.
'Also do the facts take into account that West Ham have now won 4 out of the last 5 games and was unlucky to lose against Chelsea , that is also 2.4 PPG which is PL winning form!!'
It's the last match of the season and we play Leeds we take them apart for an easy three points but we rely on other matches. The result then comes in from Spurs, Everton have beaten them in the last minute of their match and they are sent down instead of us.
Davey Moyes gets red carded for taking his shirt off and running up the touchline to the Spurs fans with his arms crossed as two hammers !
Won three of our last five and the two games we did not win were against teams in the top five where we more than held our own , we scored three goals and can count ourselves desperately unlucky to only walk away with a single point from them.
Plenty to be positive about these past few weeks - essentially since the debacle against Wolves.
Atmosphere was pretty good for the last 10mins of normal time. It’s also been better than usual at home the last couple of games. We can make noise in that stadium and that could help everyone through this period.

Won’t be easy.
You've got the whole site for that.
All we ask is this tiny corner, and I defending it with my admin superpower.
We can do that!

I think we can do this
