  • I’m fine with no striker if we sort out centre midfield and goalkeeper, personally

I'm fine about no striker, a goalkeeper with better distribution would be nice but what we really need is a quality midfielder.
  • C&H and Ex talking about Mads Hermansen who was absent from Leicester's pre-season friendlies against OH Leuven and Zalaegerszegi

C&H report that we want a loan with option, Leicester want a straight transfer, £20m rumoured to be the asking price

Ex says Zion Suzuki will be staying at Parma another season. Also mentions Senne Lammens of Club Brugge, Michael Cooper of Sheffield United and Michael Zetterer of Werder Bremen

Should be said that he's coming back from injury (I think maybe even an operation) that he was playing through at the end of last season.

  • It's kind of weird that Hermansen missed 11 games across two spells last year with a groin injury. Out for 7 league games, back for 11, and then out for 4. Doesn't seem very goalkeepery as an injury

    Is he even any good?

Can’t say when I watched Leicester I thought their keeper was quality.
  • Didn’t watch much of Leicester but do remember commentators being impressed with him and expecting him to get bought.
Though not sure how much credit we should be giving to the opinions of commentators.

We will definitely sign a new CM. It has to be priority now with a GK & ST. Bonus would be a CB & wide/attacking player.

sSo we have Soucek, Alvarez, Rodriguez, Ward-Prowse, Irving, Orford, Earthy and Potts who can fill two places for in Potter’s preferred 3-4-3 formation but we need another central midfielder?

    Really???
I think there's a pretty significant difference between having the numbers and the quality. It's also supposition that Orford, Earthy or Potts are going to be considered first team players. Irving and Rodriguez barely played after Potter's arrival, so I think it's fairly safe to say they aren't considered first team calibre.
Yes but also cant just buy players when on paper we have a lot of bodies....we aren't in a position financially to do this

Gotta get rid of some deadwood first, but also all of our top presents are centre midfielders, could block chances for them to show we dont need to spend £30mil or more if we already have someone in-house

Reading around it seems he suffered a groin injury in December, recovered enough to play but aggravated the injury again and had surgery in May

Despite him missing games he was 4th for the most saves in the Premier League behind Flekken of Brentford, Sels of Forest and Saints’ Ramsdale
  • Sky reporting we are in talks with Wilson’s rep.
  • Please.... No!
  • Sky reporting we are in talks with Wilson’s rep.

    Wouldn't be impressed

Don't need an old player who's lost his legs
  • Better than no additional striker and I think he will offer more than Antonio. One day we will get a proper striker - i hope
  • We’ve got one. Fullkrug. Just need to play him.
  • You just have to laugh or cry I'm doing both =)

    Danny Ings
  • Gideon Kodua has gone on loan to Luton, that part is good, what isn’t is they have the option to buy him at the end of the loan. He was our best player and captain the the Youth Cup winning team. 🤷‍♂️
  • Don't forget Wilson punched one into the net against us, and has been pretty disrespectful about us at times as well; beyond the obvious that he's way past his best, this signing, were it to happen, would be hugely unpopular with a chunk of our supporters.
  • I hope that the reports that we are interested are again only lazy or misguided journalism.
  • When BBC reports we are in talks with Callum Wilson you know things are getting serious…

  • There is an argument that he is a like for like Antonio replacement. But yeah…

They are only regurgitating a story from the Newcastle Chronicle.

Huge day as Ex reports Paquetá will receive his verdict regarding the spot fixing. If cleared, I’d expect him to be sold before the end of the window. If not, then clearly that’s his career over. Rumour is he will be cleared.

Personally, after selling Kudus, I’d quite like to keep Paq for another season.
  • How long has Paq got left on his contract?
  • 3 years left if you include the one year option.
  • Aguerd has followed Kilman and changed his shirt from no 27 to no 5

Not the sort of thing you'd expect if he wanted to leave

Scarles and Potts have also changed their numbers, from 57 to 30 and from 62 to 32

He he, I don’t hate it it just amuses me how much relevance is given to it.
As you know I like to bring a ray of sunshine to proceedings.
