  • Oh no, Mavropanos being readied (and Emerson too).
  • Coufal off for Emerson (AWB to RWB you'd think), and Mavropanos 😱😱😱 on for Todibo.
  • Alverez shocked that he was not shown a card there, he was fully expecting it
  • Very sloppy give-away by Soler just outside our box eventually leads to a Man Utd free kick just outside our box.
  • 6 mins added.
  • Where did 6 minutes come from?
  • Email from fergie
  • Great chance for JWP, but straight at their keeper.
  • 0-2 FT, fantastic result 😊😊😊

Great result and performance, so pleased for everyone at the club but especially for AWB, he was simply awesome today

After recent results and performances - The supporters who travelled up deserved that today

Great place to end the winless run.
Plus AW-B turning in a MOTM performance at his old club.
    Ouch!! =)
  • Areola saved us there for that second half.
  • Excellent much needed win, but I am perplexed by Potter's first two substitutions. Removing attacker and then inviting pressure. It worked out today but against a better team but the same tactics cost us a win at Brighton.
  • Very strange season, at the start if you'd have offered me being ahead of Man Utd and Spurs with 2 games to go, one of which is against an already relegated side, I've have bitten your hand off, salivating at the thought of another European campaign. Funny old game.

Harsh, it was a good save.
  • AWB was superb as was Areola, a strange starting line up, but what do I know.....
3 points and a clean sheet, seems like it was ages ago that happened....
    COYI....

    It was. 10 weeks ago.
  • 40 points, I guess that makes us safe now =)
  • Mmm fancy our manager knowing what he was doing with that team selection eh?Weird how managers seem to know what team to pick more than people on a football forum innit?
Must be gutting to get three points.😂
Really solid performance today and a thoroughly deserved win but that’s the worst Man U side I’ve seen for years, dunno how they got through to the Europa final.

You're wasted on here, you should be on stage.....Perhaps you are ???!!
  • We could go on a run now as Forest have gone completely Spursy and after them it's Ipswich.

Gotta feel that a large part of it is that, unlike recent seasons, no teams dropped into the EL from the CL. I think, while that was happening, nearly half the finalists (I make it 23 out of 50) of the EL finalists actually started in the CL, so the revised format has undoubtedly had a big impact on the quality of the teams in the final stages of the EL.

@Slacker, Any line up we selected would be expected to beat Manchester United atm so it isn’t really a sign GP is a tactical genius 👍.

Yes, but the fact that we didn’t snatch defeat from the jaws of victory is encouraging. Even though we brought on mav!
  • It was an excellent performance apart from about 18 mins after Bowen & Kudus went off. Before that & into stoppage time we were excellent. Those 18 mins were harder than they needed to be by basically inviting pressure by taking off our only two quick players who ran in behind, both at the same time, for a slow striker & a CM.

@Lukerz, Based on the last few performances that appears to be the “Potter Way” when it comes to late substitutions 👍.
  • I think our habit of conceding late is perhaps in Potter’s head and he’s being extra conservative

Tbh, I think it's in all our heads after recent matches.
  • What a fantastic week for Tommy, his partner gives birth to his son and he scores in a deserved win at Old Trafford. Bravo.
  • Btw, we won 😊😊😊.
