Cressie has been great for us both on and off the pitch .One of our better signings .Hope the club can find some kind of roll for him after his playing days are up
What a great result but more importantly, performance, when we had the ball we looked comfortable and organized, for far to many games I have felt that we have looked panicked and hurried.
The team looked like they had a game plan, knew their role and were disciplined.
We even survived the obligatory Mavro slip up, great performance by so many, only blot on the landscape for me was Soler, when he came on he played like he was practicing social distancing, despite being a man up he made no effort to close down and ran around in his own little world providing no protection to the back line whatsoever.
For once we rarely gave the ball away cheaply, shows that we can live without Paqueta, let’s be honest, I know he can produce a defense splitting ball but how many times does he give the ball away or go to ground.
What a great result to wake up to! My day is now sorted: out for breakfast and a quick shop to keep the boss happy, and then watch the match several times 😄
Scarles - a kid but he doesn’t mind, starts him & plays him away at the Emirates.
Todibo - in a back 3, then replaces him for Mavropanos knowing he has to protect him & that Mavro can be reckless - brave call. Safe call would have been to go to a back four or leave Todibo on, risking injury.
Playing a front two, with a narrow midfield. Some would say defensive, others smart, but it worked & we offered lots of threat despite not the most dynamic midfield three.
We have had some tough games under Potter.
The good/promising: Villa 2-1 West Ham Villa 1-1 West Ham Chelsea 2-1 West Ham Arsenal 0-1 West Ham
The average: West Ham 3-2 Fulham (unbeaten in 9 at time)
The bad: West Ham 0-2 Crystal Palace (unbeaten in 9 away currently) West Ham 0-1 Brentford (four away wins on bounce currently)
He’s had a tough set of games, we’ve not yet cracked playing at home (I don’t think we’ve played well yet at home under him) but we do seem to have found a formula away.
Let’s see how we get on against Leicester.
When the players apply themselves like yesterday (or Newcastle away) we do well. We have some talent. Too often they have had an easy ride. We need more of that effort/application that we got yesterday, more often.
Scarles was excellent but I think Cresser deserves a mention as well. Bit of a new broom swept clean and an old one left no dust scenario. Having said that I much prefer Scarles' quick throw-ins to one of our team, compared to Cresser's lengthy preparations for a 50/50 lob.

Loved it.⚒️
Kudus was so strong today....
Well done and a great 3 points...
Poor Arsenal...!!!
It's also good to see that Potter really understands the West Ham way, lose at home to Brentford and then beat Arsenal away the following week.

Table is weird. 16th disappointing but points wise we are the same distance from 5th as from 18th. So not so bad then
But doesn't lie
Apart from Liverpool, who don't play until tomorrow...
Not bad, not bad at all.
Peter Marlowe: Not bad. Not bad at all.
