MOTM vs Man City

You know the drill by now. Who was your MOTM against Man City?

For me, pretty much everyone had a good game, but I think Emerson was excellent, so I’ll go for him. Paqueta and Areola also stood out.

For me it’s between Areola or Paqueta (with JWP not far behind). I could toss a coin to pick between the two and it’s never easy to pick between an outfield player and a GK.

I’m going with Areola though

I was at the game but not easy, it could go to almost any of them, but Areola has it.

I understand why people are going Areola, I just struggle to call a goalkeeper MOTM when he’s conceded three goals. I know he stopped an awful lot more than that, but still

It could possibly have been more conceded with a lesser keeper in goal, think that’s about it 👍🏻🧤

I get it but IMO, I think he did not put a foot wrong and kept us in the game for the majority of the game, we could have easily found ourselves 3 or 4 down and everyone’s experience and memory of the game would be very different.
