One for the computer techies, help needed

My laptop updated itself overnight (then wanted to force me into updating to Windows11, I've got Windows10 I believe), and now my preferred browser Firefox won't open any pages, it comes up with a "The connection has timed out" message that I've had in the past when my internet has been playing up. Chrome is working fine at the speed I would expect.

I've looked online but the route

Settings > Apps > Apps & Features > Firefox > Additional Options > Reset.

only gets me to Firefox, where the only option is to Uninstall, which I'd rather not as I'd probably lose saved passwords (amazed I got in here tbh), bookmarks, saved streak on Wordle 😂🤣😂 etc.

Any thoughts anyone?

Panic over, I restarted the laptop again and it seems to be working now 🤞🤞🤞.
