I don’t think you can compare Maddison to Alli, who was brilliant for two seasons, both scoring and creating more goals than Maddison did in his first, while a few years younger. Maddison went off the boil for a lot of last season. Why’s Alli arrogant but Maddison isn’t?
I think Grey’s description of Alli is fair enough but a lot of people go so far with him.
Mount’s had a few good games. Alli was very good for far longer than any of these players. Not sure what he can learn from them.
Alli also had injuries and Spurs have made changes that arguably haven’t helped him - Son’s advance and Kane dropping deeper.
