Just found out that I'll be visiting our home ground for the 1st time ...
Home v Wolves...my brother got us tickets somehow...
1st time for seeing the hammers live in " donkeys" years.....
So excited.... & the 1st time I'll be seeing my mum in over 15 years.....

The pitch is a lot closer than the photo makes out. It was a very good view, unfortunately.

Another casualty, the Denmark Arms closed at the end of July, the landlord reckoned business was down £400k since we moved to Stratford.

Antic are rumoured to be buying it but no confirmation yet.

Craft beer/real ale type pubs, big on the food. They took over the Railway Tavern next to Forest Gate station, its now the Forest Tavern.

They probably won't be serving Fosters or Stella...

Aslef, have you been in the Forest Tavern, what's it like?

Pretty standard hipster pub, stripped wood floors, "interesting" décor and furnishings, at weekends its pretty much families in for the food.

The usual craft beer suspects (Crate, Five Points, Camden Hells), not the cheapest pint in town and doesn't open until 4pm Monday to Thursday.

Did are we not allowed ball boys at the stadium? It’s ridiculous how long the ball goes out of play for. Seems worse this year than previous.

Have to say I though the same thing on Saturday. There were very few ball boys, made worse by the fact the surrounding area of the pitch is bigger than other stadiums.

The stadium is the reason we are in such a mess

Different players, different managers, different tactics etc and while many blame the fans I've heard the fans try to get behind the team over and over only to see players mess up a 5 yard pass

Also sad to see the film where they blew up Upton Park is coming out (or is already out)

I'm sorry but the stadium is no excuse. If they haven't comes to terms with playing there now, they never will.
