  • I think Spurs will stay up.

I want Forest to lose on that account.
  • Spurs won’t lose EVERY week, even by their standards

I still don’t see them going down, but they are more likely to if Tudor remains in charge

    Good point
  • If Spurs v Forest ends in a draw, and we win, we will leapfrog both. If one wins, we will overtake the loser with a win or draw. I just cannot see Spurs continue to lose so regularly.
  • Richarlison doing the silly cupping his ear celebration! I think an injury time winner to snatch a draw after about 10 abysmal performances hardly qualifies for an ear cup of 'I can't hear you now'. footballers.......
  • Could have been worse, nobody at the bottom won and we probably had the hardest task against City.

I think that was more personal, as an ex evertonian and the abuse that he receives at Anfield, rather than anything Spurs related imo

Fair play Ravel, I hadn't recalled his Everton days.
  • Got to give Wolves credit - given their circumstances yet they came back from two down to secure a well deserved point
  • I think it's going to be so tight to stay up and going through each sides matches I can see 8-10 points for both ourselves and forest and 12-14 for Spurs.

At best for each club I have I have the following

I have us with wins against Palace, Everton and Leeds and a draw against Wolves

I have Forest with wins against Burnley, Sunderland and B'mouth and a draw with Spurs

I have Spurs with wins against Brighton , Wolves, Leeds and Everton and Draws against Forest and Sunderland

It is going to be small margins deciding who goes down out of Forest and ourselves.
  • I agree that it is going to be tight, but I think you are being generous to spurs, I see them tripping up against both Wolves and Leeds
  • I know it’s fun to do, but I genuinely think going through games at this stage of the season & predicting points is meaningless. Teams will drop points & collect points against the odds. Given the form of Leeds, Spurs & Forest collectively - how many wins they have had between them in 2026 - it’s unlikely to expect all 3 of them to get the points needed to reach 40, so if we do we will probably stay up. But I am not going to predict what games those 11 points may come from.

Not counting the cup or Europe...

Forest have won two this year, both away, us and Brentford in January

Leeds have also won two, both at home, Fulham in January and Forest in February

Spurs haven't won any this year, their last win was away at Palace just after Christmas

    Ho ho ho

Just watched Brighton's goal on MotD, if I was Le Bris and/or Xhaka I'd be giving Diarra the hairdryer treatment for staying down in the box when he clearly wasn't injured

It's the mentality of far too many players, and, dare I say it, coaches/managers; refs invariably stop the game (far too quickly imo) if someone so much as touches their head when they're on the ground. Diarra was about to get up, saw that Sunderland had second phase ball, so rocked back down and started holding his head.

Had Diarra got up he might have gone to the back post and could have cleared off the line so justice was done

Well done, Tom Kirk. This was only his 4th EPL match in charge, his first was in December. Reffed our Cup win over QPR and ironically Sunderland's Cup win away at Oxford.
  • Didn’t help us at Brighton when Dino stayed on his feet when he had been kicked in the head & they went onto equalise 😞.
  • U21's 1-0 up against Boreham Wood.
  • Boreham Equaliser in 93rd minute with absolute howler by Herrick.
    Lost on pens 7-6
  • So they decided to overturn the Afcon final after that farcical ending and award the title to Morocco after all.

It is crazy but I think the right result, you cannot disrespect the refs to the extent of removing the team from the pitch and expect anything else.

Wonder what happens now to all the bets that were paid out
  • I just heard someone on a podcast say that Bowen has done 'as much as anyone possibly could' in relation to his England prospects, and that he has 10 goals and assists in his last 10 games. That didn't really add up to me because I think the prevailing view on here is that he's been less effective / out of form recently. So I looked it up.

Since the Sunderland game, he has 4 goals and 5 assists in 9 games in all competitions. That's crazy for a player that we seem to broadly agree has been beneath his best.
  • @alderz, Just think what he can do if he returns to his best form?
  • People just don't see what he does.

If It's in the rules it should have happened at the match, the ref calls an end to the game and Senegal forfeit. Then the trophy gets awarded to Morocco, medals awarded etc. To do it now will leave no one satisfied as I doubt any Morocco player will feel like a winner and the Senegal players will probably keep their medals and know they won the match and have the medal to prove it, and call the later change of result political and corrupt as they are doing. It had to be instant and from the referee.
  • candbsky, The referee should have implemented the rules but we know some of them just don't.
  • There is no way the ref would have been allowed to take that decision unilaterally. It was a CAF decision 100%
  • Not sure any rules were broken to award the other team the match.
  • Article 82 states that if a team "leaves the ground before the regular end of the match without the authorisation of the referee", they are eliminated.

Appears quite straight forward or is it just me?

I guess it's possibly not a rule the ref may have been familiar with but I think there was 18 minutes for someone to notify him. If they are not going to implement it at the time it's hard to allow a team to celebrate and only implement it later. Perhaps everyone forgot about their own rules.

As a basic rule that makes sense is that if a team leaves the pitch without the ref's permission or an emergency taking place then the game is forfeited.
