  • I Know I have dabbled in dream scenarios and I have another.

By Saturday 9th of May Arsenal could have the title wrapped up as City are dropping points, It may well depend on their fixture together. Now should Arsenal be guaranteed winners by the 9th I would guess Every single fan in the London Stadium would be cheering for us to win, that's every gooner and their star Midfielder Mr Declan Rice. There is no way they wouldn't want to save us at Spurs expense.
  • Great result, we defended exceptionally well, probably the best we have done all season.

There was a huge problem in our attacking ability though, completely nullified. I think had Summerville been present we would have better counter attacking options. But I think a few teams will have watched that game and understood that if you can pin back Fernandes to his own 18 yard box we really cannot get moving as a team. I think a few teams will be targeting Fernandes for some man marking.
  • Thing is Yeold we won't be playing against the calibre of teams like City.

Most tense I've been at a league game that I can remember. Great defensive effort, apart from AWB, but also a good all round team performance.

I need a drink so I'm off to the Positive Arms if anyone fancies a beer.

    Awwwww

MotD showed Mavro getting hit by the ball on the head but didn't show Haaland getting hit by the ball on the Jacobs
  • Yeold I don’t think teams would pick anything up from yesterday’s game as Man City pin most teams back. Against Real Madrid they had 60% possession and 10 corners to their 1 but still got whacked 3-0. Real have the players to punish them when they break away more than we do.
Most teams don’t have the players to successfully play the way you suggest so I doubt Fernandes is going to be suppressed from here on in.

In their analysis of the match The Athletic mentioned that Summerville "is hoping to return to action against Aston Villa"

    Fingers crossed...
