2026 Summer Transfer Speculation

Let's kick this off with some good news

From Ex on The West Ham Way podcast

We understand that Disasi is loving his time at West Ham and is very much open to a permanent move.

It’s obviously not simple though, firstly with our current status in the Premier League in doubt and two our finances.

He would not come cheap from Chelsea, who are seeing this loan as perfect for them should they look forward to sell him in the summer

Chelsea signed Disasi from Monaco for £38m in 2023 on a 6 year contract

Transfermarkt estimate his value at £13m, if we can find a buy for Kilman we could be in business

  • I've been so pleasantly surprised by him since he came in. The guy is a cut above, and I really hadn't seen that from him in his Chelsea or Villa days. I'd love him to stay.
  • He's made a huge difference since he's come in, and, like ASLEF and alderz, I'd love us to sign him up, but it's obviously dependent on both staying up and our very pressured finances allowing it.

Knowing Chelsea, even though he's not in their plans, he won't come cheap, and we are providing a good shop window for them.

Pochettino obviously rated him, 44 appearances with 41 starts, only Conor Gallagher and Moises Caicedo clocked up more minutes on the pitch that season

Maresca clearly didn't, just 17 appearances with 15 starts and just 4 of those in the league before he was shipped off to Villa.

At Villa he only made 10 appearances, basically brought in as 4th choice cover for Konsa, Mings and Torres.
  • Marcel Disasi

So just another £12,999,999 to find.
  • It is just a reminder of how much we paid for Killman
  • I think bidding would start at 25m personally.

Palace were reported to be looking at Kilman in January, their new Sporting Director was chief scout at Wolves when they signed him from Maidenhead

They didn't sign a replacement for Guehi so now they've only got Richards, Lacroix and a couple of U23s as out-and-out centre backs

Fingers crossed the new manager can be persuaded

No way anyone would pay £25m for Kilman and he's supposed to be our 3rd highest earner (£100k). I'd take £15m
  • How long is his contract
  • 7 years‼️
  • I think bidding would start at 25m personally.

This was for Disasi - I think Kilman would genearte 15m tops.
  • Marcel has spoken 🗣️

  • So being at West ham is nice ,But being on the pitch is great .To bad not being great in both =)
  • I would take a few quid for Kilman if his wages are that high for another 6 years (£31 million of wages).
  • If swap shop were still a thing I would take an eagle eyes action man and a bag of mixed sweets for him.

    Fixed it for ya =)

Lots of websites saying Soucek is leaving in the summer based on nothing more than "sources have told talkSPORT he is open to a new challenge".

And who do talkSPORT link him with? Moyes, obviously.

    https://talksport.com/football/4113091/transfer-notebook-aston-villa-morgan-rogers-man-united-luke-shaw/
  • I have seen a report, can't remember where, that West Ham will not be renewing his contract.
  • Soucek has another year on his contract but "According to a club source" on greenstreethammers.com two days ago ..

"The club wanted to get something done during the season to show their commitment, but given everything that’s at stake this season, his reps want to assess the situation properly once we know which division West Ham will be in. No one wants to make the wrong call in the heat of a relegation scrap.”
  • I can't see any decisions being made by club nor players until we know where we will be playing next season.

Soucek should stay in either scenario if we can persuade him in my view.
  • Interesting to read Antonio’s comments in that he felt Potter wanted him and all the big dressing room personalities out.
He was positive about Sully though saying he was always good to the players.

He bought most of them. 😂
  • Who else buys the players. It’s the club’s money not the managers but the point was that it wasn’t Sully who wanted rid of the players who went ie Antonio, Cresswell, Coufal, Fornals etc.
  • The cynic in me says of course he didn’t want them to go, he doesn’t like splashing on replacements.

Cresswell and Antonio were right to go. Should have kept Coufal and I will forever miss Fornals.
  • Soucek should stay in either scenario if we can persuade him in my view.

I'm not so sure. Back in January the Athletic reported that Sullivan insists that all the contracts have a clause that cuts wages by 50% if we are relegated

Would Soucek or anyone else want to stay on half money when they can go elsewhere for full pay?

Interesting to read Antonio’s comments in that he felt Potter wanted him and all the big dressing room personalities out.

If Potter wanted all the "big dressing room personalities" out why is Soucek still there and why bring Fabianski back after he left

Antonio's had a contract up until 2024 with an option for a one-year extension, the board took the option but didn't offer him a new contract because of his injury

Coufal said in an interview he wasn't happy the board only gave him an extension in 2024 when he expected a new improved contract

Cresswell initially rejected a one-year extension in 2024 then later agreed to stay for another season but there had been reports he wanted to move back north for a while

Fornals left while Moyes was manager

Sounds like Antonio is projecting his feelings on others

Mo Salah announces he will leave Liverpool at the end of the season

Bowen has often been mentioned as a possible Salah replacement so I guess we can expect plenty of rumours that he's off to Anfield between now and September
  • I wouldn't begrudge him that move even if we stayed up, he is a great guy and has given everything, at 29 it's probably the last chance for a big move that will lead to him being able to say he played at the highest level his ability allowed (Champions League etc).

I hope he stays, but if he goes I understand it.
  • candbsky, He may as well stay with us if Liverpool aren't in the Champions League next season which based on the way they are playing atm is a possibility.
  • I think that particular boat may have sailed for Bowen, Liverpool seem to have replaced Salah with the purchases they made last summer.
  • Slot has tried Szoboszlai, Frimpong, Chiesa and Wirtz in the right wing role this season but doesn't seem to have settled on any of them

Chiesa is possibly the only one who could be described as an out-and-out RW but he's only had 9 starts in two seasons which doesn't sound as if Slot is convinced

Unsurprisingly there are rumours he could be off back to Italy in the summer

Liverpool Echo and others have a list of players including Bowen, Anthony Gordon; Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams, Bayern Munich's Michael Olise, RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande, PSG's Desire Doue and Bradley Barcola

Given our position in the league, our lack of European football and our rumoured financial situation Bowen could work out to be the cheapest option
