So this Saturday will make it 5 wins to West Ham

  • We've lost 10 in a row at Anfield (including twice in the Carabao)

On the plus side we scored in all the last four visits...

Only absences of note are Wirtz who picked up a back problem in the warm up on Sunday and Isak (again) who is recovering from ankle surgery.

Frimpong is expected back but hasn't played for four weeks

Ekitike is top scorer with 15 in all competitions but hasn't scored in the last four. The only time he faced us was 20 minutes at end of our 2-0 loss at home in November
  • I wonder if any team has a worse record at another PL ground of those who have been in the league 25+ seasons.

I don't wonder enough to find out the answer myself, but I do wonder.
  • I wonder if anyone else, wondering, will source the information.
    That would be wonderful 🤔
  • But who would we get to do it =)
  • Hermansen
    Todibo - Mavropanos - Disasi
    Wan-Bissaka - Souček - Fernandes - Diouf
    Bowen - Summerville
    Taty

Is I reckon what we’ll see

The bait has been set. Alderz won't want to do it, but he can't help himself

I know. It's fine if you can't do it
  • I've already done it.

Newcastle at Liverpool is the worst. 0.23 points per game.

    And how do we compare?
  • Newcastle at Liverpool - 0.23 points per game
Newcastle at Man City - 0.23 points per game
West Ham at Man City - 0.24 points per game
Villa at Man City - 0.24 points per game
West Ham at Liverpool - 0.28 points per game
  • I'd take 0.28 of a point right now...
  • Thanks alderz.
  • Only twice in the past 40 years have West Ham gone more than four games without getting at least a draw against Liverpool, home or away, in all competitions.

We currently stand on four straight defeats.

  • I do not think we can afford to sit back - I think we need to be a bit adventurous and look to take the game to them.

  • Slot confirms that Wirtz isn't available but Frimpong is although whether he'll start after 4 weeks out is debatable

Conor Bradley and Wataru Endo are also injured which is why Dominik Szoboszlai and Curtis Jones has been starting at RB in recent weeks. Joe Gomez is another option but he's been struggling with injury too

Asked about Salah who scored in the Cup 4th Round against Brighton but hasn't scored in the League since 1st November against Villa.

Two questions from the press about England U19 17yo LW Rio Ngumoha who hasn't started in the League yet but is getting a lot of praise when he has played. Slot cautious, doesn't want too much pressure on the kid
  • It's a little unlikely we will get anything but if you are going to Liverpool needing something then now is the time. They are not the same side as last season and we can't afford to hang back and wait to be picked off, this could ensure we go at them and just maybe have more fight than them at present.

Head says 2-0 heart says 0-1
  • Hanging back definitely not a good idea

We've scored 19 of our 32 goals in the first half and 12 in the first 30 minutes.

Meanwhile Liverpool have scored 11 in the first half out of 42 with just 4 in the first 30 minutes. They've scored 14 in the last 15 minutes

We've conceded 31 out of 49 in the 2nd half with 11 in the last 15 minutes

Best to watch from behind the sofa after 75 minutes...
  • ASLEF, That is usually the way I watch us play at Anfield. Normally every other game has finished & Liverpool manage to score, and that is not only just against us.
  • Fergie-time has moved 30 miles west down the M62
  • Unchanged starting XI:

Hermansen, Wan-Bissaka, Mavropanos, Disasi, Diouf, Magassa, Fernandes, Souček, Bowen ©, Summerville, Taty
Subs: Areola (GK), Walker-Peters, Scarles, Mayers, Todibo, Kilman, Kanté, Adama, Wilson
  • Long afternoon ahead
  • they score
  • Dreadful start.
  • Huge deflection beats Hermansen. Poor from AWB, imo. Very slow to return to position, just standing next to Disasi ball watching
  • Still a chance to get our usual 0.28 points
  • Way to much space in the area - terrible defending - at least we now have to take the game to them
  • Still a chance to get our usual 0.28 points

If you're rounding it down, then I agree 😭😭😭
