  • I'd assume changes will be rung, but I have no idea what will happen here.

Presumably Areola is the cup keeper now? Is this an opportunity for Kilman to play himself into something resembling form? Who knows! I don't want to see Bowen, and I don't want to see Summerville. We won't see Tobido, as I've just double checked and suspensions carry between all domestic competitions.

If it were me, I'd probably go with something like:

    Areola
    KWP - Mavropanos - Kilman - Scarles
    Traore - Magassa - Potts - Lamadrid
    Fernandes
    Taty
  • I would stick with Disasi and Mavro at the back - it is another opportunity for them to build an understanding

Keep an eye on Jake Beasley, 29yo journeyman second striker/attacking midfielder

Currently joint 5th for goals in League One with 12 (two players top on 15) despite Burton being 21st out of 24

Played in the Championship for Blackpool 21/22 and 22/23 but otherwise lower league with various clubs
  • I would also give Disasi a start as all game time with his new team is a good thing for a player who has hardly played this season. I would let Kilman start alongside him.

  • Yeah, Kilman might learn how to defend.
  • I am more than happy to play the reserves & kids in this (I never say that) - we go out, oh well. I see Pablo is out for a while.

    Areola
    Walker-Peters - Mavropanos - Kilman - Scarles
    Magassa - Potts
    Traore - Kanté - Lamadrid
    Wilson
  • I'd say play a fairly strong team. Let a few like Magassa, Scarles and Mayers who have been around the team play but I wouldn't want to risk disrupting the hunger for wins that I feel followed the QPR game. There's a full week until the next game so no real need to rest too many.
  • How long is Pablo out
  • Not known. Nuno says a while but doesn’t know how long.
  • It doesn't sound good for Pablo.
  • The last thing we need is a hamstring for Summerville or an injury to Taty - have them on the bench by all means but we have no margin for error this season - an injury to a key player could be curtains
  • Burton, 21st in league 1 and 1 point above relegation will probably be thinking the same
    #battleofthebenches
  • Correction
Burton are in the relegation zone, 1 point from safety.
  • Totally agree with playing youngsters and reserves. Load the bench.

    I would play Hermansen though.
  • Just noticed that we have the early kick off - where I am, even if I can find a stream, that is 2.15am….. think I will have to pass.

    Plastic armchair fan?…….totally 😊

I hear such good things about Canada. Might visit.

Want to give you fair warning 😂. Just in case. Get your excuses in early!
  • MrsG ,in Ontario about an hour north of Toronto ,Just outside a town called Barrie .Won't be any excuses ,You would be more then welcome would love to see you ,
  • Chicagohammer, in Chicago presumably, says it starts 2:15am and Steve in Ontario says 7:15am. Something doesn't add up.

Chicago said it was a 5am start for him for the Burnley match (3pm GMT) which is consistent with a 2.15am start for this, so he's probably not in Chicago atm. Could be Hawaii, Tahiti or the Cook Islands, or even the Aleutian Islands in Alaska.

    Happy with the line up.

    No Bowen?

    No Bowen, Fernandes or Soucek

Hopefully they're all enjoying Valentine's Day with the Mrs/girlfriend

Burton play at the Pirelli Stadium, opened 2005 just down the road from their old stadium, built on the old Pirelli Sports & Social Club next door to the factory which has been there since 1928

Pirelli donated the land in exchange for the naming rights

    Which was nice...

  • Should be good enough ,But then again
  • Looking forward to see what Lamadrid brings
