My instinct would be to field a strong side in the hope of securing the game early and then rotate some youngsters in….the problem is identifying a “strong” side.
Our first eleven appears perfectly capable of tripping over themselves here and further destroying whatever confidence they have.
I think its a reasonable shout to try and get as far as we can on account of the supporters having had zero to get excited about this season, and being in a relegation fight since the start. An unlikely quarter or semi final would at least offer a respite from that.
Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t UEFA bring in a clause that only top flight teams could play in European competitions, even if a team from a lower league won the Cup?

If they have I’m not aware of it. It seems harsh but also logical as what second tier club could manage a European campaign?
