Tricky first game for Nuno at Hickory Dickory Dock.

  • Any first game was going to be tricky but I actually fancy us to pull off something here, a change of formation and personnel may just catch DM out.

    COYI
  • A nothing to lose match as no one is really expecting anything from it. What I would like to see is that he manages to get them up for it and we see a combative and competitive performance, if we get anything from it regarding points it will be a really welcome bonus.

The thing everyone will be watching of course is the corners!
  • Thing is we really need to start getting points against teams like Everton .After all there really not that good .so a point would be nice
  • 4-2-3-1

    Areola

    AWB Kilman Igor Diouf

    Fernandes Magassa

    Bowen Paquetá Summerville

    Füllkrug

I think Kilman ought to be dropped but he was a Nuno favourite at Wolves. So expect Mavropanos to make way for Igor in the hope of stopping goals from set-pieces. Need to revamp midfield. JWP has had too many poor games and needs to be rested.
  • I’d start Hermansen ahead of Areola, personally, but otherwise I think that’s about as a strong a side as we have.
  • Is AWB fit
  • Not yet, apparently.

After some lack of clarity in previous pressers, I think it has now been stated that it's a muscle problem in the stomach area.
  • But I think we need him back!

    Wilson over Fullkrug for me.
  • Fullkrug is proven old fashioned center forward and I fancy Nuno will know how to utilize him and get the best out of him….i am hopeful that Fullkrug will be quite excited at his appointment.

With luck we will see him making a nuisance of himself up top and make runs rather than falling into the trap of dropping deep in search of the ball.

I am looking forward to Monday, be interesting to see if there is a change in style.
  • Do we have to play again. I think it's been proven we're not very good
  • Matchday

    COYI ⚒⚒⚒
  • Rumours JWP not travelled.
  • Seems a bit odd unless its an injure
  • Areola
    Mavropanos, Igor, Kilman
    Fernandes, Magassa, Diouf
    Bowen, Paqueta, Summerville
    Wilson
  • Areola
    Mavropanos, Igor, Kilman
    Fernandes, Magassa, Diouf
    Bowen, Paqueta, Summerville
    Wilson

Is this a plan with no right back / right wing back?
  • Imagine if we can miraculously defend corners and crosses tonight. That alone would be a win for me
  • ASLEF has not posted on this thread, so I'm going for a WIN. =)

    I think we’ll see…

    Areola
    Wan-Bissaka - Todibo - Kilman - Diouf
    Magassa - Fernandes
    Bowen - Paquetá - Summerville
    Füllkrug

Not much other options with JWP dropped & Souček banned.
  • I’m not 100% on Todibo. Kilman did well at Wolves under Nuno when he was playing with proper head it kick it defenders, and that’s what he had at Forest too. I think Mavropanos might start.
  • Forest wanted Todibo - I am not sold on him, but think Nuno will like him

Areola, Walker-Peters, Mavropanos, Kilman, Diouf, Magassa, Fernandes, Paquetá, Bowen ©, Summerville, Füllkrug
Subs: Hermansen (GK), Scarles, Igor, Potts, Rodríguez, Irving, Luis Guilherme, Marshall, Wilson

JWP not even in the squad.
  • Todibo not even in the squad
  • Everton yet to concede a goal at their new home.

Another side with little variation in the starting line up, eight players have started all five Premier League games with another two starting four

Moyes made seven changes for the 2-0 Carabao Cup loss away at Wolves but he’ll probably start his strongest XI tonight

Naturally the big news was Grealish on loan, he seems to have rediscovered the form he had at Villa and is currently top of the Premier League for assists with four.

Keiran Dewsbury-Hall (Chelsea £28m) is worth keeping an eye on although he’s on four yellow cards already.

The surprise omission is Dwight McNeil who has been mostly bench bound.

Jarrad Branthwaite is still out with a thigh injury so Michael Keane has been partnering Tarkowski in the back four

The only question mark would be who starts up front, Beto has started four, started against Liverpool but was reaplced by French U21 Thierno Barry (Villarreal £27m) at half time, Barry started against Wolves on Tuesday and was replaced by Beto at half time

    Best guess

    Pickford
    O’Brien Tarkowski Keane Mykolenko
    Gueye Garner
    Ndiaye Dewsbury-Hall Grealish
    Beto/Barry???
  • Bit late ASLEF ,Try to do better in the future =)

  • BBC. You had one job...
  • Summerville looks like he should be starring as the baddie in a Miss Marple mystery
  • Keeping our shape in these early stages and breaking well when the opportunity presents - so far……..
  • Grealish is such a free kick merchant
