    And a penalty to Wolves.

    Really poor by Rodriguez.

1-0 Wolves, the penalty hits the post but they score the rebound. Not great by Areola on the rebound imo.
  • Horrible team selection so not surprised it sounds like a horrible performance
  • Love losing to Wolves’ reserves
  • Just sick of this faffing about trying to play out from the back. Just boot it upfield and reset the defence.
  • We need Wilson on. We are getting nowhere in the final third.

Usual story. The midfield is slow.
    We are so toothless.

Just can't see how Potter can stay and keep us up.
  • Potter got it wrong from the off which is the worst part
  • Feel like Potter has dug himself a hole here, Wolves in the League cup is a free hit with what has happened in our opening PL games. No idea why Potts isn't on the pitch or even trying out some other youngsters to see what they are about against PL opposition.

If Guido Rodriguez is really going to be off in the next few days, I have no idea why you would start him, unless maybe he isn't off but if he does leave its just a pointless decision to play him, we will see on that one ?
but even still why not give some of the other youngsters a go ? its literally set up for Potter to experiment with, nothing to lose but he has decided to be just as stubborn as Moyes and Lopetegui.

Would love Potter to succeed but I don't know, it feels too much of the same in terms of managerial decisions that Moyes and Lopetegui were making. Refusing to make the big calls, sticking with the "tried and tested but ultimately failures" on the pitch.

I have strong doubts that Potter will be here beyond Christmas and we will be back on the hamster wheel again.

About sums up the match, halfway through the first half and not a single comment, matching the number of attempts on goal we've managed.

Can't comment cos can't get a working stream.
  • What is this obsession with giving youngsters a game. Our first two league games were abysmal and those players should be made to make amends and told their positions are seriously at risk if they don’t buck their ideas up.
A cup is a cup is a cup and is an entry into Europe where you need to be to attract players and make money. It’s not a free hit.
  • What I don't get, is why you play Potts in every single preseason game just to bin him him for Guido who barely featured and has one foot out the door

    Nice assist by KWP too.

Cheers, Pengeman. i moved the link you posted over to the streams thread. For future reference + privacy :-)
  • I don't like the number of corners we're conceding given how poor we've been in defending them so far this season.
  • must keep Moyes away from soucek

Everton bid for him, according to (something believable) I read earlier today.
  • Andy Irving being readied to come on, another one I thought was almost out the door.
  • 2-1 up. Wolves’ defending reminds me of West Ham’s defending

    Get in, Paqueta.

    Fantastic ball in by Bowen.
  • Paqueta down injured 😱.
  • Great work by KWP for both goals, first the cross, the second for pulling the defender away giving Bowen the space to cross.
  • 2-1 up. Wolves’ defending reminds me of West Ham’s defending

This game was never gonna end up as a no score draw 😂🤣😂.
  • Unable to watch - Paqueta injured?…...or is he just being Paqueta
  • Paqueta carrying on. Kilman on for Aguerd.
