Better signs said before we need to keep Pequeta .buffy thinking of you mate that's to bad .But your a Hammer so you will be okay .Sending you all the best
Just watched the highlights. It still feels weird seeing Moyes on the other bench.
Everton only had 11 subs while we had 15 but at least they started with one centre back - Michael Keane - which was one more than they started against Bournemouth
We started the B team, Everton don't have a B team so had to start half the A team
Could be a tough watch for me, got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes today, put on medication and was strongly advised not to drink alcohol in the short term while they see if this medication will work, so I'm going to have to watch us play completely sober 😱😱😱.
Sorry to hear that Buffy All the best with everything!

I definitely saw Paq pull up briefly holding the back of his thigh and he was subbed shortly thereafter on the 90min mark which indicated to me that he at least felt something and was subbed as a precautionary measure
I thought playing Casey as the single CB was asking a lot of the lad. He didn't lose his nerve after the early blunders, and made a key block. Our wing backs were quiet too: hardly a run and cross from them all game. But most players looked sharper, and most forwards have now scored 😁
There is a news item on the OS about the Sailgate party on the Chicago River - you may recall that I mentioned that I had a couple of mates traveling over for the game and rather amusingly it turns out that we made the montage of pictures.
If anyone is curious, we are number 9/15 showing just the three of us and I unfortunately am not the good looking one but the one with the beard……
Bournemouth have plenty of money to play with, they’ve just pocketed £50m from Real Madrid for CB Dean Huijsen, signed from Juventus for £13m last summer, and £40m from Liverpool for LB Milos Kerkez, signed from AZ for £15.5m in 2023
Ker-ching
French LB Adrien Truffert (Stade Rennais, £11.4m) is the Kerkez replacement, starting against Everton and coming on as a sub against Man Utd
Neto cannot be a happy bunny. He spent last season on loan at Arsenal but his only appearance was against Girona in the last game of the Champions League Group Stage after Arsenal had qualified for the last 16.
Despite Mark Travers joining Everton his prospects of getting regular starts haven’t improved with Serbian keeper Djordje Petrovic (Chelsea £25m) playing the first half against Everton and the full 90 minutes against Man Utd
Other players that were on loan last season, AM Hamed Traore, CM Philip Billing and CM/RM Romain Faivre, have all featured in the last two games with Billing being handed the armband against Man Utd.
20yo academy graduate CF Daniel Adu-Adjei has been a substitute in both games and scored against Everton
There are a few on the injured list, DM/CMs Lewis Cook and Ryan Christie are both missing along with LW Luis Sinisterra and Turkish CF Enes Unal who scored against us in the 1-1 draw in December
AM Justin Kluivert flew to the USA but has missed the first two games with a knock
Various sources report 22yo Ukrainian CB Ilya Zabarnyi is close to joining PSG for £61m (Bournemouth paid £24m in January 2023). Spurs were after him but couldn't meet Bournemouth's asking price
That would leave just three first team centre backs and one of those has only had 7 Premier League starts
Will be interesting to see how our midfield gets on against theirs; I'd have liked us to sign both Scott and Adams at various points in the last couple of years.

Mavropanos is walking off so hopefully nothing serious.

Is an A- or a B+? Everton just signed Travers, after that display I bet their praying Pickford stays fit

Well it made me smile

Subs: Foderingham (GK), Walker-Peters, Scarles, Mavropanos, Casey, Golambeckis, Álvarez, Rodríguez, Orford, Irving, Fearon, Souček, Luis Guilherme, Cornet, Marshall
Starting 11 close to what we'll see first match of the season?
