I find it amazing how a player, confirmed as being offside by the PGMOL, can be deemed to not be impacting when moving towards the ball in a crowded six yard box. That is incredible.
The fans are going to have to adjust to Potter, no more leaving the game early as now our fans should only come in with half an hour to go as he seems to only act with intent at that stage.
We were complaining about Forest wasting time yet we pretty much wasted an hour.
I still hold with my view that Potter should only be judged from next season but my word it's hard to find reasons for optimism at times.
I do hope we haven't ended up with the Managerial Kalvin Phillips. There are distinct similarities at present.
Great at smaller club in Leeds, wins a high profile move to City but fails to make an impact, goes to West Ham to have it confirmed that he wasn't as good as people thought.
Great at smaller club in Brighton, Wins a high profile move to Chelsea but fails to make an impact, goes to West Ham........ lets see what happens.
Potter has come in to a failing group, with no prospect of getting into Europe, and very little prospect of getting relegated, several of whom have known they’ll be leaving. It’s hardly a surprise that we’ve coasted to the end of the season. Honestly, I think we can’t really judge this spell as equal.
Better team won, they are levels above us & won in first gear. Always going to be a tough ask with our mentality & quality of player
Can't agree, if Areola hadn't gifted them their 1st it would have been a totally different game. Potter's starting 11 was wrong though, no creativity in midfield, look at the difference after the subs. A pity that the only goal of quality didn't end up being on the winner's score sheet.
I was thinking maybe Earthy and Potts would benefit from another year in the championship im starting to think getting them minutes next season might future proof for any potential disaster that befits the club should they go down next season.

I don't disagree with any of that Alderz and I have always said judge him over next season as he has had the luxury of this half season stress free and a summer window to come. I do think I would have liked to see him get better from what's here than Lopetgui did and it's arguable if he has, we have had a couple of decent matches but so did Lopetgui. I think I would have liked to see that he was setting up a bit more positively when he hasn't had to really fear for results, if this is how he sets up now then how would he be when under pressure not to lose?
It's been a season that began with such high hopes and never really got off the ground despite a big spend and two managers. I will begin next season hopeful as ever again still.
Perhaps the club Should bow down and go back to Cressie and Coufal with a new contract
Cresswell and Coufal may have played well recently, but they are both senior players in a failing squad. They have both also been part of the problem, and aren’t the answer going forward
I must admit I do like the look of Todibo, he looks a natural footballer and a modern centre back as in comfortable on the ball and agile, but he has not been dominant in matches. He is one I am hopeful for next season, as I am Fulkrug, and the forgotten man in Summerville.
Areola is possibly the best keeper we’re going to get, all we need to do is just tell him to hoof it up instead of trying short passes
Thought Rodriguez had his best game so far
If youre telling him to hoof it you need to change the manager. There’s no point in bringing in a manager who bases their entire philosophy on possession and build up, and then having the keeper kick it back to the opponent. We should be going all out for Kelleher imo
Also, Areola has had plenty of clangers not involving his distribution
Probably 3 of the 4 being released would love to stay. Most of those being retained would likely love to leave. I can’t see why Fullkrug for one would want to stay.
Already linked with Villa as replacement for Martinez (off to Barcelona apparently), Newcastle as a Pope upgrade and Chelsea cos they need a fourth first team keeper
If Newcastle get him we could try for Pope who has said he won't be anyone's backup
