  • Looking forward to Liverpool away next week. Should be fun.

That'll probably be one that we win
Funnier things have happened, no one really saw us beating the 'Bottlers' or rather Arsenal at the Emirates....
  • We’ve won at the gunners several times but only about once in 60 odd years at Anfield. It would be really funny if we did it.
  • At least we got a home point against a top half team for the first time this season.
  • Just watched the highlights and that was a great header from Fullkrug. I'm still confident that he'll prove to be a good signing for us if he can catch a break with the injuries.
  • Made a table and one chair for outside, thought i'd have a rest and check the WHU game out. Think I'm going to just go and finish the second chair to build =)

Shame that mate, you missed a really entertaining second half.

  • I wonder when the first “Potter’s not the right fit for us “ type stuff will start to appear?

I’d be surprised if it’s not saved in someone’s drafts ready to go
  • I think Potters reign really begins in the summer and this half a season has been an assessment period for him in my view. I am hoping the luxury of having that period will reap reward next season. In the Summer he will need ship out and get in players who match how intends to set us up, and hopefully begin next season much better than we did this one.

Often manager will come in the summer and the players are on holiday and he has not even met them and has to use a window from that position. Potter will know exactly who he wants to keep and who can play in his intended system. That's the theory anyhow.
  • @Slacker, On some of the other forums they have already said that!
  • Other forums are not as knowledgeable as what we are on here =)

Really? If so it just confirms to me that we have got some absolute muppets as “ fans”.
    *shakes head and walks away.

  • Regarding the game I thought we were awful first half but Bournemouth weren’t really any better it just made for a very dull watch. Second half the changes obviously made the difference and it was proper entertaining I thought .
Probably the draw was just about right.
  • I think we can all agree that the second we just had more about us and having a decent center forward up top capable of holding up play and occupying a couple of their defenders made all the difference.

I am not sure we were awful in the first, just lacked that spark and confidence - far to often the players opted for the easy way out and passed backwards or sideways and we did not create anything.

Having a proper target man changed all that and the second half was a decent watch
  • Bmth stopped us playing early on, by closing us down quickly. Then we took control without threatening. Fullkrug linked midfield and attack, and suddenly we were a real team. A team with problems, but a team IMHO.
  • Good little bit about Fullkrug on MOTD in the analysis

I don't often watch any of MOTD, but obviously I had to after this comment 😂🤣😂. Tbh, it's no more than most of us can see, it's just a shame his season has been so affected by injury.

On watching the highlights, we were definitely done by the ref again, there's no way that was a foul leading up to their second goal. Nothing was made of it by the pundits though, one of the reasons why I hardly ever watch MOTD these days. I know we should have done better with both their goals, but it certainly doesn't help when the officials give such poor decisions.
  • Personally I don’t really care if pundits talk about refereeing decisions, because it doesn’t change anything materially. For me, a bigger issue with the second goal is the way we defended the free kick. Nobody reacted to close down Kerkez (I think it was Kerkez anyway), and Areola was all other the place.

And Kilman was weak in his attempt to head the ball.....IMO
Both goals were poor to let in all reality..
  • Yeah I thought Kilman could have done better, but I feel like losing a headed duel happens and is something that they should still be able to deal with

We need a replacement for Areola. He is a good shot stopper (usually) but is poor on crosses and we almost always lose possession when he punts it forward.

  • What is Ramsdale position at Southampton .is he on loan
  • How many relegations are on Ramsdale’s record? 😬

Soon to be three, I think. And I think he’s always been an awful keeper who makes a few sensational saves for the camera - often because he was in a bad position to start with.

    Confirmed, Southampton are down.

Anyone else notice that Fullkrug plays with his shirt untucked so when he jumps you get a big eyefull of stomach?

    Reminds me of someone...
