Tuchel out .Any manager worth anything would be playing Bowen
When you watch Foden play on the wing you do question how he’s there ahead of Bowen.
As soon as I saw the line up I thought it was just big club bias as Bowen is better on that right wing, I can accept Saka is ahead of him when fit but not Foden. I think Bowen and Bellingham would work well together.
I don't know how it played out however as I couldn't be bothered to watch a match against Albania.
Foden was anonymous, Bowen played ok when he came on. I don’t have an issue with Foden playing, hugely, because he is an amazing footballer. But I don’t think he can play as a right winger with Walker behind him, Bellingham at 10, and Kane up front. We need someone who will stay wide and get in behind, which Bowen is the second best at of our options, IMO.
Bowen off after an hour, replaced by Eze. He played on the left, with Rashford on the right, during the second half. Not a particularly inspiring display from our man imo.
I think we should be letting other strikers have some minutes at least as Kane is always going to be Kane and mop up goals against these third rate teams such as Albania and Latvia but will do little against tournament quality opposition. We found at the last tournament that we threatened more when he was replaced, but the last manager, and it seems the new one, have a block regard Kane.
Even if he sees Kane as the first choice striker still he should still be giving half an hour to the strikers coming through, Kane was given the full 180 minutes over the two matches and Solanke sat on the bench the whole time.
Kane is the best striker in the world, IMO, and we’re always more likely to win with him in the team. I think at the Euros that back injury he had at the end of last season really impacted him.
The world.. That's a big call , over Haaland and Salah?
I personally don't think he is mobile enough and so too easy for top quality defenders to contain which only gets demonstrated at tournaments. But with differing opinions aside I still think we should be giving other attackers minutes in matches like this because as we saw in the Euros we will be calling on them.
Salah is a winger, and yes I think Kane has a better all round game than Haaland. I agree to a point about different options, but honestly I think the real issue is that we haven’t played enough players alongside Kane who will run beyond him, or at least they haven’t been told to. Hes been at his best when quick wingers and 10s run behind, it’s no coincidence his best days for England were with Rashford and Sterling on the wings.
Ferguson started for Ireland on Sunday, played 74 minutes and scored a goal; let's hope he comes through unscathed and can be a realistic option for what's left of the season 🤞🤞🤞.
Alvarez started out as a centre back/right back at CF America in Mexico who occasionally played as a defensive midfielder but it didn't become his primary position until he moved to Ajax

He will get and provide chances to score in this England team.

He plays as a centre back for Mexico fairly often, has also played right and left back.
