  • And, to add to that, I think this will be the first season in a long while where the returning academy loanees can genuinely be considered as squad options. Potter absolutely will integrate them and use them to at the very least fill spaces. I can imagine Potts and Earthy both being true options in our CM ranks next season.
  • I hope you're right and that Aguerd will re-join us and be happy under Potter, but I fear he just doesn't enjoy playing in the PL; I think he'll be great in a back 3 tbh. However, given the success he's currently having on loan in Spain I think he'll be angling for a permanet move away come the summer.
  • Is there nothing Tomas can't do? 👏👏👏

This is probably a chat for a transfer thread, but I think there's no option on Aguerd's loan deal, and I'm fully expecting him to come back and take Cresswell's spot.

Reports were that Aguerd's loan deal has an option to buy even though Real Sociedad didn't want one and aren't prepared to meet our £33.7m asking price
  • There is just no end to Souceks decency and his ability to embody a good human being.

You would be happy to have him as a Brother, a Son a friend, even your wife's boyfriend.
  • West Ham’s league and cup situation means Potter can spend the rest of the season experimenting in practice, seeing what it looks like against Premier League opposition. Formations, tactics, substitutions, partnerships, academy players, they can all be tried out over the next ten plus games plus pre-season.
The good thing is that this would bode well for the next season.
The bad thing is that expectations will be high, with no room for a slow start.
  • Just had the chance to watch the game. Cresswell would have been my mom, he was excellent (let's ignore his throw ins) JWP is also a Potter player and loving the responsibility. But the moment of the match had to be Soler's overlapping run, that was stunning. 😮
