Since the last referee could have cost us the match, i thought I'd share comments about re
fs for West Ham matches. A sort of warning...
I've been giving +2 down to -2, and averaged out the points per game reffed, and they fell into four groups...
The 12th man for them: England, Harrington,Banks Barrott Andy Madley, Jones.
The Reluctant to Give Us Anything: Smith Bramall, Oliver, Robinson Gillett, Attwell.
The OK Group: Salisbury Pawson Tierney Ksvanagh.
Finally, the Refs who have little Home Team or Big Six bias: Taylor Hooper, Kitchen
I think Buffybegood will have something to say about one name in particular 😁

So, Mr. Holy Spirit, what are you going to do between now and the game against Everton, managed by West Ham’s most successful manager* on Monday?

As you may be aware the mighty Hammers are coming back to the US for a summer series of games with Everton, Man Utd and Bournemouth in New Jersey, Atlanta and my adopted home town of Chicago.

We have tickets for the Everton game at Soldier field Chicago on July 30th.

I think it is going to be a fun day, the local supporters club, Chicago Hammers, have arranged a couple of officially sponsored fan events, one of which includes a boat ride on the Chicago River including pizza, a drinks package, a DJ, a Q&A with Anton Ferdinand ending up with a coach ride to the stadium for the game, you just know that everyone with be suitably lubricated, decked out and will be singing bubbles etc.

Details are on the OS if anyone is interested

I have a couple of mates flying over for it and I for one, am really looking forward to it

Personally, I think that's a good thing because it had to take place before the end of the season. And a 'big night out' felt to me like a distraction.

So they did the awards today on the pitch. I admit that I wasn't aware voting was happening because I don't go on the club website much these days.

But what a great day for young George, named Young HOTY on the day he scored a goal!

Hi,

I haven't posted on the forums in a long, long time but I have been lurking.

A year ago, I relocated up north and now live in Newcastle. Unfortunately, it's too far for me to go for home games, and I was desperate to see Newcastle vs West Ham last season but I couldn't secure tickets in the away end.

Since I'm not a season ticket holder, it's virtually impossible for me to get away tickets unless for the NEW vs WHU match on Sat 10th Sep (unless I buy them second hand). I don't want to be scammed, so rather than buying from a stranger on Ebay (or a similar website), I wondered whether I could buy the away ticket from someone from this forum who I'd trust far more.

If anyone would be able to do that, I'd be interested in a ticket (ideally 2 so I could bring my friend along). Please let me know if anyone could kindly help. Thanks in advance!

The new season tickets will shortly be issued and will only work on mobile phones, they can no longer be printed as they were last season. Apparently all premier league teams will be operating with this system. The season ticket will be emailed and then you can download it to your phone wallet, you only have to do this once as it will automatically load the next match for you. People who don’t have phones can call the ticket office for an alternative way of receiving their ticket. It looks like passing your ticket to a family member or friend when you can’t attend the game will no longer be possible. I’d be interested to hear peoples thoughts on the subject.

In previous seasons I had taken out Academy Membership which practically guaranteed a ticket over general sale. For the new season at the Olympic Stadium I purchased Claret Membership for both my son and myself which cost £80. The OS was, and still is, urging everyone to purchase Claret Membership as your "best chance of securing match by match tickets." I now see that anyone holding Claret Membership wanting to go to a home game has to enter a ballot for a ticket, with no guarantee that you will get one. Surely this should have made clear before anyone purchased Claret Membership, it feels like a bit of a con to me. Anyone else in the same position?
