Given that we’ve only won one of our last 16 against Liverpool I expect it to be our usual result.
Indeed that's likely, but we've got more going for us than usual. We'll have had a few days off I'm sure, which will help our players get over our exit from the EL and our very poor showing at the weekend. 4 matches left, little expectation so maybe less pressure to perform, which has been constantly high on the small core of players Moyes uses since the start of the year.
Liverpool, on the other hand, have literally just thrown away any chance of delivering anything more than the League Cup in Klopp's final season. They got knocked out of the EL from the easy half of the final 8 draw at the first hurdle, and have lost 2 of their last 3 matches to bottom half opposition in the PL to leave them very little chance of the title; if only one other team was involved, then that team might have a hiccup to give Liverpool a chance, but exremely unlikely that both Man City and Arsenal stumble enough to let Liverpool back in.
They'll be desperate to beat us, especially as they'll get the first blow of the weekend in, but that desperation may play into our hands. I'd rate our chances of avoiding defeat higher than it usually is against Liverpool. -

Don’t know much about Amorim but I think I’d rather Potter. I want a manager who would be here at least as long as Moyes has been. Potter hopefully has realised the level above is too much for him for now and could hopefully build something here. I think Amorim would come to us only as a stepping stone. -

Well I would say that is pretty obvious, I was referring to the culture, etc of the clubI would like to see Gary O’Neil as manager, he’s young and seems to be making an impression at Wolves. A former Hammer who at least knows the club.
The club that O’Neil played for bears no resemblance to the club today.

According to numerous reports Amorim to West Ham is dead in the water as he took an instant dislike to the “project” outlined to him.
I wonder if this translates to 'he met Sullivan' -

Just what we need. Liverpool get beaten the game before they play us so they can take it out on us.
Or, they've had all the wind taken out of their sails as they know they've completely blown any chance they had of winning the title by losing two out of their last three league matches? No chance they win the title now unless they score 3 goals in the 5 added minutes tonight. -

Obviously we won't have Phillips next year, and I can't see how Downes could possibly have less impact that he's had. I'd really like it if he came back and took his place in the squad.
