  • Does anyone think that the shiny new stadium has any pulling power ;hmm
  • I do think it's a factor Expat, that and our recognised RB is a loanee (sp?) and not Shamus Coleman.
  • Pretty much the team I was thinking of eski but I would rather see Antonio instead of Deloufeu as I think he could become a bit of a cult player for us.
  • Nah Eski, absolute Noooooooooooooooooooooooo

That Byram bloke is way ahead of the coleman ;whistle
  • eski

    Cresswell > Baines ;nonono

    That'll ruffle a few feathers!
  • Baines has lost it. Think most people would think Cresswell > Baines these days..

    ... except Roy.

(That's for Roy, not you ;ok )
  • Would probs have Mccarthy in there before Barkley but more from a tactical view then a individual one ;whistle

  • New Hammer Sam Byram says he is excited by the opportunity to work with Hammers boss Slaven Bilic.

West Ham's £3.7million signing arrived at the Boleyn this afternoon after completing a medical which rubber-stamped his move from Championship club Leeds United.

And he cited the chance of working with the club's manager as one of the key reasons for deciding to move to West Ham instead of Everton.

“I spoke to the manager and he is one of the main reasons which attracted me to West Ham," said Byram. "I think he's done unbelievably well with his team so far, so I'm really looking forward to working with him and his staff.

"I'm unbelievably proud and happy to join a Club as big as this. I'm just looking forward to what the future holds and hopefully I can achieve things with the team going forward.

“It's a childhood dream of mine to play in the Premier League, so to have the chance to get into a team like this and I just want to get my head down, work hard and hopefully get a chance."

Byram also revealed that he was excited at the chance to play in the Olympic Stadium, in which West Ham will begin their tenancy from the start of nest season (2016/17).

“I'm looking forward to seeing the new Stadium in person," he added. "That was another big part in me wanting to come here. It's a massive part of the future of the club and I can't wait to see and hopefully play in it."

I still rate Baines, but Cresswell is probably his equal if not slightly better now. Main difference is age, so Cresswell wins for me ;thumbsup

60% of the time, it works every time
  • What I like about this signing is the fact that he's a young, English talent. We could, in theory, put this outfield team out:

    Jenkinson Tomkins Burke Cresswell
    Byram Noble Oxford Antonio
    Carroll Lee

and probably hold our own against most teams. Add the British players (Randy, JO'B, Collins, Hendrie) and we've got a very strong domestic bias.
  • Got a little bit worried when I saw he was first up on the treatment room thread on the OS.
  • So we weleased Wodger and signed Bwian ;thumbsup

  • Highly rated. That's all I know.

And that I used to sign him on FIFA.

Pards says he's a good-un, so his head on the block.
