43 Waverley Road (Bobby Moore house gets blue plaque)

English Heritage have unveiled a Blue Plaque at Bobby Moore's childhood home on the anniversary of England winning the World Cup.

  • Moore is the first person to get a Blue Plaque for being a football player, the only other football related Plaques are Herbert Chapman, more famous as manager than a player, and CB Fry, more famous for being a cricketer.

    And this is also the first Blue Plaque in Barking & Dagenham.
