    Not really bothered but if that was the case, why not start him and take him off after 30 mins, I am a little more cynical and feel it had something to do with the opportunity to secure appearance and scoring bonuses.

    You can't start a player if you aren't prepared to keep them on all game, though. If you get a couple of unforseen injuries, what do you do then? More sensible to see how the game goes and if you have the flexibility at the end to put the player on (whether it's a yoof, someone coming back from injury, or a cameo) then you do.

    Comms on another stream have just said it wasn't used in any of the 3pm games.

    Now I'm speculating that maybe they don't have enough fully-trained referrees to staff the video-room.

    Apparently one of our kids (Neufville) has just joined Newport on loan. He's playing in the FA cup game against Leicester tonight. Good luck to him! coyi

    Most interesting thing for me in the Leicester game is where had it been a PL game they’d be rolling around after a foul or tackle, here they are just getting up and getting on with it.
