IMO someone like hugill has a greater chance of success in a moyes side than Smolov

Let’s face it the bar is low for our specialist strikers - have Hernandez, AC, Sakho and Ayew even managed 10 league goals between them all season. Can’t be much more than that

I didn't know the name Hugil before today but from that video he does seem to have a good repertoire of finishing from heading, shooting and poaching. I wouldn't mind him in the squad for sure and at time like this when injuries are causing problems he would certainly get his chance. In the absence of a top proven striker on loan I wouldn't mind bringing him in.

Never heard of Sakho before we bought him. Played in Ligue 3 then Ligue 2 then broke the Prem scoring record scoring in his first 6 games.

The deal isn't complete yet but it is moving forward.

He doesn’t need to have a stunner - even if he scores 3 or 4 for us this season it will have been worth the deal. I’m happy to trust Moyes judgment if this signing was his recommendation
