So USA and Argentina could miss out to go east!
    Good round up ;clap

Don't forget the Dutch. I reckon they will need to beat Sweden high to make up for goal difference.
  • Nigeria the first African nation to qualify, beating Zambia 1-0. Arsenal's Alex Iwobe scored the winner.
  • He scores when he wants........Diafra Sakho, he scores when he wants
  • Senegal have South Africa at away on 10 November and at home on 17 November South Africa beat Senegal at home 2-1 in November last year but the match was declared void because the dodgy ref awarded a penalty for a non-existent handball.

Burkina Faso play Cape Verde on 6 November.
  • Looking at group A with France, Sweden, and Holland fighting it out between
them for qualifying, I think England have been so lucky not to be in that group
as the way they have been playing I doubt that they would even get into a play off
    position.
Compare those top three teams, against England, Scotland and Slovavia, in group F.
I really don't know how those two groups can be so far apart regarding the seeding.
  • Well, Holand now need to beat Sweden by 7 goals just to reach the playoffs.

There they could meet Italy or Portugal.

Then the Argies might miss out on a place altogether (Ecuador actually beat them IN Argentina) and the US are also not guaranteed to qualify. I think the corcle of favourites is shrinking by the day.
  • My Dutch friends can't quite believe 2 tournaments in a row....

They started yesterday with Ryan Bable and that guy at spurs Janssen....

    How the mighty have fallen...
  • Robben mustn't have long left. Netherlands well and truly in crisis
  • Yeold last game will be against Sweden...

    Cresswell starts for England.
  • I’ve been looking for a reason to watch the England game. Aaron starting is good enough for me. Might have a cheeky ;redwine
  • This is a reasonable start by England
  • Slowish, but good in defence and using the wide players. Something missing though.
  • wombat

Yes. At a guess, I'd say 'quality'.
  • It seems refreshing tho?
  • Cress on target ;clap
  • Scotland bottled it, England same as usual.
  • ;lol
Why do I feel like I have been robbed
    There is a missing spark
  • So I watched both the England Games.

Thank god the PL is back this weekend......
  • Wales vs Ireland should be a humdinger. Would like both to go through but oh well, common Wales for Britain.
  • So I watched both the England Games.

    Agreed.

We were at a family christening yesterday and managed to get home in time for the second half....... unfortunately.
  • Egypt have qualified for the first time since 1990
  • Amazing listening to this commentary, even if you don't understand it. It's usually just constant shouting

  • Could be a belter tonight with Wales/ROI

Think Wales may just do enough but thought to write off the plucky Irish

Scotland 5 world cups missed out on now and I think Gordon strachan has lost the plot

Hopefully, Wales don't decide to break any more of our players...

    Nailed on ROI win tonight.

    McClean to score.
  • BOOOOOOOOOO!!
  • All Welsh Wales so far... ;puzzled
  • such a poor game expected more but its turning into an england v lithuania
  • Yeold

Not sure why you would expect more.

Neither squad is brimful of quality, and there is a huge amount riding on the game.

I'd suggest the worrying thing for England fans is that neither of these teams, average as they are, would fear meeting England.
